THIS IS YOUR LAST CALL LETTER

It is time for you to sign up for the last runion of the 315th Bomb Wing Association. We will close out our organization after the reunion. We have had 25 glorious years together. We have hashed and rehashed all the events of WWII and since. I believe we will still have a few to relate to you at this reunion. We have laughed and cried with each other and have all gained more wisdom along the way.

Please fill out and mail the events registration form to Pat Carnevale. She is in charge this year, so follow all the instructions she gives you. She has spent countless hours planning this reunion. Washington, DC isn't the easiest place to plan such an event. She has cordinated all our requirements and has negotiated with the hotel and bus companies to get the best rate possible. Things in DC are more expensive than in other parts of the country.

After the reunion, I will be getting with my attorney to fill out all the necessary paper work to disolve the corporation. I already have the required forms and have to wait until after the DC reunion to start. Any assests we have after the reunion, will go to the Museum of the Soldier, our museum for memorabilia. They have to have some money to proceed with their projects.

I have enjoyed my time as your executive director, now it is time to retire. I have given it my all. I have enjoyed working with the members, but it is time to call it quits. There will be one more newsletter, after the reunion, then I will put the computer to bed.

As of this date, we still have comrads calling saying they did not know we existed. We have added more and more members during the last few years than before. I believe comrads are scaling down and finding some of the memorabilia from WW II. Also the second generation are finally realizing that there was actually a WW II. They are beginning to come to as far as what there fathers, uncles, did for their country. I only wish that some of them would take over the organization to keep it going, but guess as many others, we are too busy. It does take a great deal of time to organize. Keep in contact with some of your group and God Bless you and yours.
